Happy New Year from Sister Rosemary/Misericordia Foundation

Dear Friends,

As we come to the end of this year – a year that has challenged us with learning how to live with the Covid-19 pandemic – we want to welcome with you the New Year and all the hope and promise it holds. It can be difficult during times of disruption and uncertainty to trust in the future. But, one thing we know for sure at Misericordia is how fortunate we are for your friendship and support. We close our 100th Year Anniversary with gratitude – and start a new century of making a difference in the lives of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities because of you and the love we share for Misericordia’s children and adults.

2022 promises exciting change and progress! Along with you, we look forward to all its possibilities knowing we are truly blessed in doing God’s work. The new Foundation will help us ensure the best lives possible for our residents in the future by focusing our fundraising efforts to support Misericordia Home. We have been overwhelmed with the beautiful gifts that have come in this holiday season. Please know that we are most grateful for your wonderful support.

We are excited to share that construction will soon begin on the new Unity Development homes just south of Misericordia’s main campus, and the new Hearts & Flour Bakery and Café will open in the coming months. The homes will enable us to welcome more people from our wait list, and what a welcome destination the new Bakery will be for our families, friends, neighbors and commuters alike. This is what Misericordia does best – inviting and welcoming all to be a part of our mission. Thank you for making this possible!

As we welcome the New Year, please continue to keep Misericordia in your prayers, and we will continue to keep you in our prayers as well. May God bless you with good health and much happiness in the New Year!
