We’re shining a spotlight on another one of our wonderful staff members, Noah Thomas! Since his first day at Misericordia almost 2 years ago, he has had a special relationship with the residents in the Peterman Home in the Mercy Glen area of campus. While many staff are shy to share their talents with residents, Noah is eager to sing and dance along with the guys, especially to oldies, show tunes, and hard rock. They also love Noah’s wide repertoire of impressions, ranging from Kermit the Frog to Harvey Fierstein. Noah has in fact been an entertainer since long before working at Misericordia. He studied theater in college and came to Chicago for the active theater scene. Outside of work, he continues to act around town, including the upcoming Middle Passage at the Lifeline Theater! As a Direct Service Professional (DSP), Noah became a member of a committee to guide our administrative and IT teams in improving Misericordia’s resident database. Having already demonstrated his strengths as a DSP and commitment to our mission, Noah was recently promoted to Professional Recruiter on our Staff Development team. With an ongoing need for high quality staff to support our residents, we are lucky to have his experience to find others with the necessary skill, commitment, and compassion to be a DSP.
