Having trouble receiving our emails?
"How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love My Email"

The MFA Communications Committee has recently been receiving an increased number of inquiries from families about emails sent from both the Misericordia Administration (MisAdmin) and from the Misericordia Family Association (MFA) that have not been received. We would like to provide some helpful hints/tips/suggestion about how to ensure that you receive all emails from both Misericordia and the MFA.

Both the MisAdmin and the MFA use Constant Contact, an email marketing service, to send mass emails. Within each of these Constant Contact accounts there exists mailing lists. Mis Admin generally sends to their list of guardians, while most MFA emails are sent to MFA Families and to SIBS. (If you wish to subscribe to MFA emails or are already subscribed but wish to update your information, click HERE and complete and submit the form.)

One of the most common reasons that you may not receive all of the emails sent from MisAdmin and MFA is that some of those emails are filtered by your email service and placed into your Junk/Spam folder instead of in your Inbox. (This can happen for a variety of reasons that we cannot enumerate in this communication.) To see these filtered emails, you would need to check your Junk/Spam folders regularly.

A better way to avoid this problem would be to prevent this filtering into Junk/Spam by “safelisting” the MisAdmin and MFA email addresses. Safelisting prevents your email service from filtering email from the specified addresses into your Junk/Spam folders. Such email addresses might include This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for the MisAdmin, and This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for the MFA. For some email services, one can also safelist all emails from a specific domain, e.g., @misericordia.com and @mfa-sibs.org.

How to achieve this safelisting can vary from email provider to email provider. For detailed instructions on how to safelist email addresses for many of the most popular email providers, see below.

If you have questions about any of this or need help with your email, please contact us directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

The MFA Communications Committee
