Make your Candy Days Giving page today!

Dear Friends and Families,

We are delighted to share that we are at 325 pages and almost $580,000 raised from over 4,000 donations with just 2 weeks to go! So many thanks to the families who have already created a page, and thank you in advance to everyone who will soon create a page. As you know, it is such an important event for Misericordia and we would hope that everyone will want to participate, especially since there will be no street/store/train station collections.

Given the importance of the Candy Days’ contribution to the overall revenue shortfall Misericordia experiences every year, we need to do all we can to continue to make this event a huge success.

FirstGiving has always been part of the “FrontStream” company, and this year its fundraising software was updated. It is no longer “branded” as FirstGiving. However, we are still working with the same company and same team of support personnel as in the prior years – just a new and improved software platform with a new name. The pages you create will have a similar look and the setup process is similar as well. As before, we need friends and families to set up fundraising pages, and then send links to their pages to their network of donors.

Please note: THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN SET UP YOUR PAGE THIS YEAR IS BEGINNING WITH THE MISERICORDIA CANDY DAYS HOME PAGE. (THE LINK IS BELOW).

Below is a link to an instrucional video for setting up your Giving page.

Below is a link to “DETAILED” instructions. Yes, they are long, because we took the time to detail every step. Don’t be alarmed. Many of you can set up your page without much reference to these instructions in a little as 15 minutes. We are also asking for only one page per family. The process is very similar to last year, but there are a few things that are different. We have highlighted the differences just to be sure you see them.

We have summarized any questions and comments we have received to date. We know there have been some growing pains with the new platform and we appreciate your working through them and bringing issues to our attention. See the Trouble Shooting Help link below.

We have added the following questions/concerns to the attached Troubleshooting document:

1.)   Donor reports can only be accessed through the administrative portal. (Unlike years past) We can send you your donor report whenever you need it.

2.)   The set up for anonymous vs. non-anonymous donations is a little counter intuitive. Instead of clicking a box to make your donation anonymous, you need to click the box to make your donation NOT anonymous and then re-enter your name. Because of this, a lot of donors do not click the box and end up with an anonymous donation. We can also reverse this on the back end if you know anyone that does not want to be anonymous.

3.)   You cannot change your profile information (name, address, email etc.) through the “Profile” section when you log-in to your account. (This is a bug in the system). We can make changes through the administrative portal if you let us know what you would like to update.

Thank you so much to everyone for helping us make Candy Days 2021 our best year ever! We're so grateful for your continued support.

Sincerely,
