The cold and snowy February did not keep the residents of McGowan from staying active with a variety of different activities from daily exercising to having a fun Valentine’s Day party!

The CDS lessons this month used more technology, computers, and tablets to watch educational videos and keep in virtual contact with the Misericordia campus, the city and the rest of the world! There was a cultural focus on Black History Month by studying African American artists and making some representative art of their own.

Sewing was big during the month with everyone able to help by use of the "Big Red Button" switch to make masks and pillows. Leisure activities included yoga and indoor Boccia ball, plus a celebration of Mardi Gras with baking King cakes and making decorations. They also observed Ash Wednesday by watching the Misericordia Mass via zoom.
