Attention SIBS!
Dear Friends,
It has been a very long three years since we last gathered in person and I have so missed seeing all of you. Our Annual Sibling Meeting, Halloween Party and the Artist in All Signature Event have always been some of my favorite events as they allowed my fellow SIBs to come together and share in our common bond of having a Misericordia sibling. It has been 22 years since my own dear brother Fred was called home to the Lord. Knowing Fred, he is surely dancing on the mountaintop. Like you, I am so grateful that my sibling was able to be a part of the Misericordia community and live a dignified and joyous life.
As the pandemic moves into our rearview mirrors, our new SIBs Executive Board, led by incoming President Megan Biggam is working hard to re-engage and re-energize our group. I ask each of you to make time on Sunday, February 26 to join us in the Jean Marie Ryan Center at 1:00 p.m. Outgoing President Lisa Paradis and incoming President Megan Biggam are looking forward to sharing with you all of our successes in 2022 and plans for 2023 and beyond. Afterward if time allows, please join us for refreshments to re-connect with your fellow SIBs.
I sincerely thank all those that have replied yes to our invitation. For those of you that I have not heard from, I am deeply saddened and concerned. Our meeting takes place once a year and is less than 90 minutes long. It is ALWAYSscheduled the last Sunday of February because planning is essential in your busy lives. I know it is in mine!
Since Sister Rosemary and I began the Sibling organization over 30 years ago, it has been our desire to give all of you the opportunity to make a difference in your sibling’s life. I have known so many of you for so long. I also know you truly care for your sibling.
I am personally asking you to join Sister Rosemary, Father Jack and myself at this meeting. We continue to provide the best life possible for your brothers and sisters, but we need YOU to help us continue into the future. If you have not had a chance to RSVP, please do so here. RSVP We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, February 26 at 1p.m.
With Sincere Gratitude and Love,
Lo (Lois Gates)
