Home Visit Medications

Misericordia has recently been experiencing issues with medications for Home Visit. In lieu of sending meds via FedEx and Misericordia incurring the cost, we are offering the following options available to families:

1. When residents are away from Misericordia during a medication cycle refill, they and their guardians have the following options to obtain the medication cycle refill: 

• • The new cycle of medications can be picked up at Misericordia before the old cycle ends.
  • Medication orders can be sent to the family’s local pharmacy.
  • In emergency situations, families can work with the administrator so the new cycle medications can be shipped to the family’s home. Families would be responsible for the cost of shipping.

2. In the event of an error when packing medications, Misericordia would be responsible for the cost of shipping.
3. If the family has forgotten the medications upon return from home visit, families may either bring the meds before the next scheduled med pass or families will be responsible for replacement cost.
